Kestävyysmurroksen tohtorikoulutuspilotti etsii väitöskirjatutkijaa. Pilotin tutkimus kohdentuu yhteiskunnan eri osa-alueilla tapahtuviin murroksiin, kun etsitään ratkaisuja ilmastonmuutokseen, luonnon monimuotoisuuden köyhtymiseen sekä luonnonvarojen kestävään käyttöön ja hallintaan. Tutkimuskohteina ovat esimerkiksi kansalaisten elämäntavat, planetaarinen hyvinvointi ja terveys, tuotanto ja kulutus, hallinta ja oikeus sekä kulttuurinen muutos.

Tehtävän kuvaus

Haemme nyt väitöskirjatutkijaa yrityksen johtamisen, erityisesti kestävän liiketoiminnan tutkimusalueelle. Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävänä on suorittaa tohtorintutkinto Tampereen yliopistossa. Työsuhde on kokoaikainen ja edellyttää työskentelyä Tampereella kolmen vuoden ajan, jona aikana väitöskirjan ja tohtorintutkinnon odotetaan valmistuvan.

Edellytykset

Väitöskirjatutkijan tehtävään valittavalta edellytetään soveltuvaa ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa (kauppatieteiden maisteri tai vastaava) sekä tutkinnon suorittamisen yhteydessä tai muutoin osoitettua kykyä ja motivaatiota tohtorintutkinnon suorittamiseen. Varaudu todistamaan ansiosi pyydettäessä.

Väitöskirjatutkijalla on oltava tai hänen tulee hakea oikeutta suorittaa tohtorintutkinto Tampereen yliopistossa. Opinto-oikeus tulee saada työsuhteen koeajan aikana. Tehtävä edellyttää kokoaikaista työskentelyä Tampereella työsuhteen ajan. Valittavalla hakijalla tulee olla tarvittavat luvat työskentelyyn Suomessa.

Tehtävä edellyttää hyvää kirjallista ja suullista englannin kielen taitoa; suomen kielen osaaminen lasketaan eduksi.

Valintakriteerit

Valinnan perusteena on hakijan tieteellinen lupaavuus, jota arvioidaan esitetyn tutkimus- ja opintosuunnitelman, aikaisemmissa opinnoissa osoitetun menestyksen sekä tieteellisen julkaisemisen meriittien perusteella.

Tarjoamme

Väitöskirjatutkijan määräaikainen tehtävä kestää 3 vuotta. Työ alkaa 1.8.2024 (tai 1.1.2025, jos näin sovitaan). Tehtävässä on 6 kk koeaika.

Tehtävän palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkausjärjestelmän mukaisesti. Tehtävän alustava vaativuustaso on 2–4. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen työstä suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa. Aloittelevan väitöskirjatutkijan tyypillinen palkka on n. 2600–2900 € /kk, ja se nousee kokemuksen ja opintojen edistymisen mukaan.

Doctoral education pilot in Sustainability Transformations is looking for a Doctoral Researcher. Research within the doctoral education pilot will focus on sustainability transformations in different sectors of society to find solutions to climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable use and management of natural resources. The research themes include, for example, citizens’ lifestyles, planetary well-being and planetary health, production and consumption, governance and legal systems, and cultural transformations.

Job description

We are looking for a Doctoral Researcher in the field management and organizations, more specifically in sustainable business.

Successful candidate will pursue a doctoral degree at Tampere University. The position is full-time and for three years, during which doctoral studies and thesis are expected to be completed.

Requirements

You need to have a Master’s degree in an applicable field (management and organizations, business studies or equivalent) and have demonstrated (during your studies towards the Master’s degree or otherwise) the competence and motivation to pursue postgraduate studies. Please be prepared to provide proof of your merits when requested.

Successful candidate must be pursuing or need to be accepted (within the trial period) to study towards a doctoral degree in the doctoral programme of the discipline. If you already have a study right for a doctoral degree at Tampere University, it needs to be awarded 1 November 2023 or thereafter for you to be eligible for these positions.

The position requires working full-time in Tampere, Finland for the time of the employment. The chosen candidate needs to have the required permits for working in Finland before starting the employment (depending on the nationality of the candidate, e.g. residence permit in Finland).

The position requires good/fluent written and spoken skills in English; ability to communicate also in Finnish language is seen as an advantage.

The research topic

Within Tampere University, the doctoral researcher will work in the Faculty of Management and Business, Business Studies Unit under supervision of Professor Johanna Kujala and as part of the RESPMAN Responsible Management Research Group. https://research.tuni.fi/respman/

The selection criteria

Candidates are selected based on the level of promise that they show, and this will be evaluated based on their study and research plans, their previous success in studies, and merits in writing scientific publications.

We offer

The position will be filled for a fixed-term period of three years. The starting date is 1 August 2024 (or, if mutually agreed, 1 January 2025). A trial period of six (6) months applies to all our new employees.

The salary will be based on both the job requirements and the employee’s personal performance in accordance with the salary system of Finnish universities. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff, the position of a Doctoral Researcher is placed on level 2—4 of the job requirements scale. A typical starting salary for Doctoral Researchers is approximately 2,600–2,900 EUR/month. The salary increases based on experience and the progress of doctoral studies.
