Job description

Based on a donation from The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa (Pirha) we have an open position of a Senior Research Fellow (Health Care) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET).   The position is part-time (50 %) and will be filled for a fixed-term period of four years.

The purpose is to enable the coordination and consolidation of clinical work and clinical research. The Senior Research Fellow is expected to conduct clinical or translational research in a goal-oriented manner and to promote Pirha's expertise in medicine, nursing science or health science, as well as to lead their own research group. The candide should have a secondary occupation at Pirha at the beginning of the employment.

Requirements

The candidate is expected to have experience in research collaboration between Tampere University and Pirha as well as teaching experience at Tampere University in the fields of medicine, nursing science or health science. 

We also require:

• an applicable doctoral degree on the field of medicine, nursing science or health science,
• a record of independent scholarly activity after the dissertation defense,
• teaching skills required to successfully perform the duties and functions of the position,
• ability to lead a research group and a record of winning external research funding.

We offer

The position is part-time (50 %) and will be filled for a fixed-term period of four years. The planned starting date is 1st of September, 2024 or as mutually agreed. 

The salary will be based on both the position requirements and the employee's personal performance in accordance with the Salary system of Finnish universities. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff, the position of a Senior Research Fellow is placed on levels 6-7 of the job requirements scale. In addition, employees will receive a performance-based salary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

Tehtävänkuvaus

Pirkanmaan hyvinvointialueen (Pirha) lahjoituksen turvin julistetaan haettavaksi lääketieteen ja terveysteknologian tiedekunnassa osa-aikainen (50%) yliopistotutkijan (terveysala) tehtävä. Tehtävä täytetään neljän vuoden määräajaksi.

Tarkoituksena on mahdollistaa kliinisen työn ja kliinisen tutkimuksen yhteensovittaminen. Työsuhteen aikana tavoitteena on tehdä kliinistä tai translationaalista tutkimusta tavoitehakuisesti ja edistää Pirhan lääketieteen, hoitotieteen tai terveystieteen osaamista sekä johtaa omaa tutkimusryhmää. Työsuhteen alkaessa yliopistotutkijalla tulee olla rinnakkaistoimi Pirhassa. 

Edellytykset

Tehtävän menestyksellinen hoitaminen edellyttää kokemusta tieteellisestä yhteistyöstä Tampereen yliopiston ja Pirhan välillä sekä opetuskokemusta Tampereen yliopistossa lääketieteen, hoitotieteen tai terveystieteen aloilta. 

Lisäksi tehtävään valittavalta edellytämme:

• soveltuvaa lääketieteen, hoitotieteen tai terveystieteen tohtorin tutkintoa,
• näyttöjä itsenäisestä tieteellisestä tutkimustyöstä väitöksen jälkeen,
• tehtävässä tarvittavaa opetustaitoa,
• kykyä johtaa tutkimusryhmää ja hankkia täydentävää rahoitusta.

Tarjoamme

Tehtävä on osa-aikainen (50 %) ja se täytetään neljän vuoden määräajaksi. Suunniteltu työsuhteen aloitus on 1.9.2024 tai sopimuksen mukaan.

Tehtävän palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen yleisen työehtosopimuksen opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkausjärjestelmän mukaisesti. Yliopistotutkijan tehtävässä vaativuustaso on 6-7. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen työstä suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa.
