The Electrical Engineering unit at the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences in the Tampere University invites applications for a Researcher position in the field of Thin Film Electronics. The position is in the Thin-film electronics research group.
Job description
Within this project Researchers will be working on semiconductor memory and sensor device characterization, testing of their reliability and reproducibility, wafer-scale uniformity and evaluate their potential for integration in Neuromorphic and In-Sensor Computing Circuits.
Requirements
- Applicants should hold a master’s degree in a relevant field of study at the time of the application, such as physics, materials science, electronics, electrical engineering, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages and data analysis will be considered an added advantage.

We offer
The position will be filled till 31.12.2025 and preferred start of the employment is August 1, 2024. A trial period applies to all new employees.
The salary will be based on both the job requirements and the employee’s personal performance in accordance with the Finnish University Salary System. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff, the position of a researcher is placed on level 2-4 of the job requirements scale. A typical starting salary for Researcher is approx. 2600€/month. A higher salary may be agreed upon based on the successful candidate’s experience.
