Tampereen yliopiston yhteiskuntatieteiden tiedekunnan terveystieteiden yksikkö on monitieteinen ja kansainvälinen terveyden koulutus- ja tutkimusyksikkö. Tarjoamme perus- ja jatkotutkintokoulutusta hoitotieteen ja kansanterveystieteen koulutusohjelmissa suomen ja englannin kielillä. Meiltä valmistuu vuosittain lähes 100 maisteria ja lähes 20 tohtoria. Yksikön laajimpia tutkimusalueita ovat terveyskäyttäytyminen ja terveyden edistäminen (erityisesti lasten, nuorten ja perheiden näkökulmista), vanheneminen ja ikääntyvä väestö, sairauksien ehkäisy ja torjunta, sekä terveyspolitiikka ja -palvelujärjestelmä. Terveystieteiden yksikkö on Maailman terveysjärjestön yhteistyökeskus ja tutkijamme ovat aktiivisia useissa Tampereen yliopiston tutkimuskeskuksissa. Hoitotieteen ja kansanterveystieteen opetustamme ja tutkimustamme vahvistavat biostatistiikan, epidemiologian, gerontologian, globaalin terveyden, sosiaalipsykiatrian, sosiaali- ja terveyspolitiikan, terveyden sosiologian ja terveystaloustieteen vankka osaaminen.  

Hoitotieteellinen tutkimus ja opetus tukee yhteiskuntatieteiden tiedekunnan tavoitteita, kuten pyrkimystä tunnistaa, ymmärtää ja ratkaista hyvinvointihaasteita ja niihin liittyviä kysymyksiä. Tiedekunnan tutkimuslinjausten tavoin myös hoitotieteessä yhdistetään vahva tieteenalaosaaminen ja uusille kysymyksille avoin monialainen tutkimus sekä opetus.  

Hoitotieteessä annetaan opetusta terveystieteiden kandidaatin ja maisterin tutkinnoissa sekä terveystieteiden tohtoriohjelmassa. Maisteriopinnoissa osaamista on mahdollista syventää opettamisen tai johtamisen opintosuunnissa.

Etsimme nyt hoitotieteen professoria (Professor) tai apulaissprofessoria (Associate Professor) terveystieteiden yksikköömme.
 
Tehtävänkuvaus  

Etsimme vahvasti motivoitunutta ja ansioitunutta tutkijaa ja opettajaa, joka harjoittaa ja johtaa tieteellistä tutkimustyötä, kehittää hoitotieteen alaa kokonaisuutena sekä osallistuu alallaan yhteiskunnalliseen vuorovaikutukseen ja kansainväliseen yhteistyöhön sekä antaa tutkimukseen perustuvaa opetusta. Tehtävän menestyksellinen hoitaminen edellyttää kykyä monitieteiseen yhteistyöhön. Tarkemmat edellytykset määritellään tehtävätason mukaan seuraavasti:

Edellytykset 

Professorilta (Professor) edellytämme 

• soveltuvaa tohtorin tutkintoa 
• korkeaa kansainvälisen tason tieteellistä pätevyyttä 
• kokemusta tieteellisen tutkimuksen johtamisesta 
• näyttöä korkeatasoisesta tutkimukseen perustuvasta opetuksesta ja ohjauksesta 
• näyttöä täydentävän tutkimusrahoituksen hankkimisesta
• näyttöä kansainvälisestä tieteellisestä toiminnasta 

Eduksi katsomme 

• tohtorin tutkinnon hoitotieteessä 
• näytöt monitieteisestä / tieteitä yhdistävästä toimintatavasta
• kokemuksen terveydenhuollon, erityisesti hoitotyön, johtamisen tutkimuksesta ja opetuksesta

Apulaisprofessori (Associate professor) edellytämme

• soveltuvaa tohtorin tutkintoa 
• näyttöä itsenäisestä tieteellisestä tutkimustyöstä 
• tehtävässä vaadittavaa opetustaitoa  
• kykyä johtaa tutkimusryhmää ja hankkia täydentävää rahoitusta 
• näyttöä kansainvälisestä tieteellisestä toiminnasta

Eduksi katsomme 

• tohtorin tutkinnon hoitotieteessä  
• näytöt monitieteisestä / tieteitä yhdistävästä toimintatavasta 
• kokemuksen terveydenhuollon, erityisesti hoitotyön, johtamisen tutkimuksesta ja opetuksesta 

Ansioita arvioitaessa otetaan lisäksi huomioon hakijan sopivuus Tampereen yliopiston ja tiedekunnan sekä yksikön strategiaan sekä kokemus tieteellisen tutkimuksen johtamisesta tai aktiivisesta toiminnasta tutkimusryhmässä uratason mukaisesti. Tehtävän menestyksellinen hoitaminen edellyttää sujuvaa suomen ja englannin kielen taitoa.

Kärkihakijat osallistuvat myös ulkoisten asiantuntijoiden suorittamaan arviointiin ja haastatteluprosessissa voidaan pyytää tutkimustoiminnan esittely.

Tarjoamme 

Tampereen yliopisto ja korkeakouluyhteisö tarjoavat ainutlaatuisen monialaisen toimintaympäristön monitieteelliseen tutkimukseen ja opetukseen. Yhteiskuntatieteiden tiedekunnassa on luontevat yhteistyömahdollisuudet terveystieteiden, yhteiskuntatieteiden ja humanististen tieteiden kesken. Tehtävä täytetään 1.1.2025 tai sopimuksen mukaan.

Professorin tehtävä on suoraan toistaiseksi voimassa oleva ja apulaisprofessorin (Associate Professor) tehtävä on määräaikainen (5 vuotta). Apulaisprofessorin määräaikaisen tehtävän menestyksekäs hoitaminen johtaa toistaiseksi voimassa olevaan tehtävään. Kaikilla uusilla työntekijöillämme on kuuden kuukauden koeaika.  

Palkkaus perustuu tehtävän vaativuustasoon ja henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseesi yliopiston palkkausjärjestelmän mukaisesti. Aloituspalkkataso apulaisprofessorina (Associate Professor) on noin 5000–5800 euroa kuukaudessa ja professorina 6000–7000 euroa kuukaudessa. Palkkaus voi olla myös korkeampi riippuen tehtävään valittavan henkilön taustasta, kokemuksesta ja suoriutumisesta.

The Unit of Health Sciences at the Faculty of Faculty of Social Sciences , Tampere University, is a multidisciplinary and international health education and research unit. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate education in nursing science and public health science programs in both Finnish and English. Each year, nearly 100 master's degrees and almost 20 doctoral degrees are awarded from our unit. The unit's largest research areas include health behavior and health promotion (especially from the perspectives of children, youth, and families), aging and the aging population, disease prevention and control, as well as health policy and healthcare systems. The Unit of Health Sciences is a World Health Organization collaborating center, and our researchers are active in several Tampere University research centers. Nursing science research and education support the goals of the Faculty of Social Sciences, such as the aim to identify, understand, and address well-being challenges and related issues. We are inviting applications for the position of Professor or Associate Professor in nursing science. 

Job description  

We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished academic and teacher to conduct, organize and supervise scientific research, develop nursing science as a multidisciplinary field, participate in public engagement, practice international collaboration, and conduct research-based teaching. The position requires an ability to participate in multidisciplinary collaboration. 

Requirements  

Professor 
We require:  

• an applicable doctoral degree  
• high level of scholarly expertise  
• experience in leading scientific research  
• an ability to provide high-quality research-based education and instruction  
• a track record of winning external research funding  
• a track record of international scholarly activity  

Considered an advantage: 

• Doctoral degree in nursing science 
• Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary/cross-disciplinary approaches 
• Research and teaching experience on healthcare management, particularly on nursing management  

Associate Professor  
We require:  

• an applicable doctoral degree  
• a track record of independent scholarly activity    
• teaching skills required to successfully perform the duties and functions of the position  
• an ability to lead a research group and acquire external funding 
• a track record of international scholarly activity

• Doctoral degree in nursing science  
• Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary/cross-disciplinary approaches 
• Research and teaching experience on healthcare management, particularly on nursing management  

In assessing qualifications, consideration will also be given to the applicant's suitability with the strategy of Tampere University, the faculty, and the unit, as well as their experience in leading scientific research or active involvement in a research group, corresponding to their career stage. Successful performance in the position requires fluency in both Finnish and English.

The Faculty of Social Sciences provides natural opportunities for collaboration between health sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The position starts 1 January 2025 or based on an agreement. 

Full professors will hold a permanent appointment from the outset.   

Initial appointment for associate professor is for five years and subject to successful performance. Successful completion of the fixed-term Assistant or Associate Professor post will lead to an indefinite appointment. You will be well-supported throughout the five-year period to ease transition to Faculty positions.  

A trial period of six months applies to all our new employees.  

Salaries are based on the job demands and on employees’ personal performance in accordance with the Finnish University Salary System. The minimum starting salary of an associate professor will range between 5000 – 5800 € per month and the salary of a professor between 6000-7000 € per month. Higher salaries may be agreed dependent upon experience and/or performance.
